GMAT Club MBA Career Forum - 2020

I am proud to announce that we are overhauling the career forum with new content, moderators and resources to help current students and alums advance their career and get advice from the community!
You can bookmark this topic on GMAT Club by clicking the STAR button to the right if you want the updates posted every week!

It has been a while since this forum has seen the content and engagement of MBA Careers demand. Post MBA life only gets harder with networking, finding the best jobs around or managing to get a referral in your dream company. The Career Forum will help with some of that!

What will the Career Forum be?


  • Weekly articles on specific careers - we will start with consulting and update each week! Tech and Marketing to follow.
  • Answers to questions from current MBA students, alums and industry experts
  • Referrals for open roles from employers
  • Interview prep and resume reviews for consulting/tech/marketing/general management
  • Connecting with others in a similar job search as you or whose footsteps you want to follow

  • A place to evaluate profiles or MBA admission questions

A friend of mine struggled with landing interviews after their MBA, and one thing that really helped them was having access to resources like resume reviews and interview prep tailored to their target industries.

I think starting a new career is an exciting move, but you might want to look into what certifications are needed, depending on the field you're interested in. Sometimes, it may be necessary to become certified as well, especially if you’re considering a career in healthcare, tech, or certain skilled trades.
