KarishmaBI did not choose (B) because the passage says (pay attention to the word
consequently):
Consequently, in contrast to the situation for visual art, most people as adults do not recognize the artistic intentions of composers.
So, I thought that because of visual art education, adult people recognize the artistic intention of visual art (visual art education -> adults recognizing artistic intention of visual art). Therefore, I thought (B) contradicts the premise in the passage.
I chose (E) because it says that the study was not broad (just three schools). So we can't propose a solution based on a small group.
Also, in some CR questions like this one, "small sample group of the study" sometimes
- leads to a "weakener" choice,
- leads to an "irrelevant/out of scope" choice, or
- leads to a "strengthener" choice.
For this question,
if I consider "small sample group of the study" is not good (not broad because just 3 schools), choice (E) will be weakener.
if I consider "small sample group of the study" is good (controlled longitudinal), choice (E) will be strengthener.
What is your though on this?
