Although one should exercise regularly, yet one must definitely avoid overexertion and dehydration.

A. Although one should exercise regularly, yet one
Both "although" and "yet" can not be used simultaneously in a sentence to depict a single thought shift. Wrong.
B. Although one should exercise regularly, they
"They"? What's the noun antecedent of "they" here? None. Wrong.
C. One should exercise regularly, yet one Correctly shows the intended shift of the sentence and gets rid of the extra contrast word "although". And though it may not sound the best. It is the best option among the given choices. Correct.
D. Although one should exercise regularly, he
"He" is a male-pronoun word. There should be a male entity to which "he" can refer. Wrong.
E. Although one should exercise regularly, but one Same error as (A). Wrong.

OFFICIAL EXPLANATION

Although one should exercise regularly, yet one must definitely avoid overexertion and dehydration.

A. Although one should exercise regularly, yet one

No, that's not it.

Using both Although and yet, which are both opposition words, creates redundancy.

What helps you identify this error is the following Stop Sign:

Though/Although/Even though/Despite/In spite of... later followed by but/yet/however/still/nevertheless

B. Although one should exercise regularly, they

Not quite.

Although this answer choice corrects the original Redundancy error by removing the word yet, which is unnecessary because the sentence has another opposition word, although, it is still grammatically incorrect: the pronoun they refers to one but does not agree with it as one is singular and they is plural.

The pronoun one agrees with itself only.

What helps you identify this question as a Pronoun question as well as identify the mistake is the following Stop Sign:

Every pronoun in the underlined part of the sentence or after it

C. One should exercise regularly, yet one

This answer choice corrects the original Redundancy by removing Although and keeping yet. Since both are opposition words, using them to refer to the same relationship in a sentence creates redundancy.

D. Although one should exercise regularly, he

Not really.

Although this answer choice corrects the original Redundancy error by removing the word yet, which is unnecessary because the sentence has another opposition word, although, it is still grammatically incorrect. The pronoun he can refer to human male nouns, but there's no such noun in the sentence.

The pronoun one agrees with itself only.

What helps you identify this question as a Pronoun question as well as identify the mistake is the following Stop Sign:

Every pronoun in the underlined part of the sentence or after it

E. Although one should exercise regularly, but one[/quote]

Not exactly.

This answer choice incorrectly replaces one redundant opposition word (yet) for another (but). Using both Although and but, which are both opposition words, creates redundancy.

What helps you identify this error is the following Stop Sign:

Though/Although/Even though/Despite/In spite of... later followed by but/yet/however/still/nevertheless
