The following sentence is from the comparisons chapter of the 6th edition of
MGMAT SC.
Original: Although the towers appear identical, the west tower is the tallest, standing 16 feet taller than the east tower.
Corrected Sentence: Although the towers appear identical, the west tower stands 16 feet taller than the east tower.
Isn't the original sentence correct as its stands? I know "tallest" and "taller" are redundant, but I'm not understanding the assumption of there being only two towers. From my perspective, someone could be staring at many different towers, of which the west tower is the tallest. Also, the west tower just happens to be 16 feet taller than the east tower.
What am I missing?
