With only percentages or ratios, you can never find actual numbers, so Statement 1 can't possibly be sufficient.

Using Statement 2, we know adding \$200 to the price increases the profit by 40 - 20 = 20 percentage points, so \$200 must be 20% of the starting price, which therefore must be \$1000. So Statement 2 is sufficient.
