conflict with the general welfare of the nation at large.

position with reasons and examples.
Just rough ideas are enough...I am talking about the first five , ten minutes of the total 30 minutes of the essay.
Pour in your ideas people.

I would provide 3~4 examples of how corporations DO benefit a nation.
Brief outline:
(opening paragraph)
Restate the argument and state my counter position.
(supporting paragraphs 1~2)
1. Corporations that are intent on max profits increase revenue, which in turn increases taxes for the govt., etc..
2. Big businesses foster a more competitive enviornment, whereas the local/domestic consumers would ultimately gain from a better product/service. Give an example ---> GM
(counter-argument paragraph)
4. Briefly illustrate the profit motives would have a negative impact on the general welfare of the nation. Use the same example ---> GM and maybe use industrial pollution.
(clincher conclusion)
5. Analyze the benefits vs. the drawbacks and once again restate my counter position, paraphrasing 1/2 from above for reinforcement.
How about you guys?? How would you outline this Issue??
