Avi Gordon probably has the cheapest packages, but I don't know how good he is. It's still pretty expensive too.

Best deal I think. They are more geared towards "do it yourself" applications and advertise as such. Worth checking out!! Free 15 min consultation so you can sample a little bit first

Mymbacircle is great. I used them this year - they have mentors from top colleges who giving really transparent advice (they told me to use VMock for my resume, get unofficial recommendation (shapetheclass) for Chicago Booth and a lot of help for really low cost (compared to Red Pen and those expensive consultants!). Check it out: www.Mymbacircle.com

My two cents on this (obviously biased):

Lots of applicants focus on rate but it's worthwhile looking at the process different Admissions Consultants follow. When the process is more efficient, you get tier 1 level support but a far lower cost. We achieved that by focusing on a 3 part initial 'experience brainstorm' (hence the name 3Storms) which generates so much modular organized content for every essay question, school selection decision, recommender question, video essay etc. that the rest of the process accelerates . Other consultants may have a different approach to streamlining the process. All we know is that a top notch application coaching service for 3 schools should cost 1/3 of what many charge simply because of the process being more efficient and cutting iterations by 60%.

Happy to discuss further on a FREE first brainstorm session.
