Hello

I submitted my application on 22 nov and paid the fees today (4 Dec) (does Texas send a confirmation mail after payment of fees?). Where do I see my Electronic Application ID? I need to use this to send my transcripts.

Please help!

Thank You.

Just enter your EID. You can leave the Electronic Application ID blank as they have not yet assigned it.

This is from their site.
"The electronic application ID Number is a field listed on the cover sheet that you need to use when submitting transcripts to the university so we can match your documents to your application. The University of Texas uses this form for all of its programs. We do not issue electronic application IDs for the full-time MBA program. Please leave this field blank."

Hi,
Please help as I can't pay the application fee.
I've received the following email
Thank you for submitting your application to the Texas MBA.

Use your UT EID and password to log into the University of Texas What I Owe system to submit the payment of your application fee. This system may not reflect your application invoice for up to one week during peak times such as now.

Link to What I Owe: https://utdirect.utexas.edu/acct/rec/wio/wio_home.WBX

And after clicking the link, I found no transaction found!!

Good luck to y'all! If anyone has any questions in terms of the application process or the school, let me know (PM me). I was sitting in your seat last year. McCombs and Austin are great!

Now we only need to get our football team to start winning next year :)

For me there were two status messages -
1. We have received your application and are reviewing it
It changed yesterday to
2. We have receivedall components of your application and it has been sent to graduate admissions for review

No idea what the difference is though!

This is weird, it doesn't seem to be a standardized message then....mine had they still needed components then it said everyhing was received. But at no point did it say it has been sent for review.

same here, mine says they received everything they need to review my application, but nothing about reviewing it...took almost a month for my transcripts to show up as actually having been received.

..one would think being a business school, they could hire a blackbelt to take a look at this admission process, because the way its handled is in need of six sigma.

I must say compared to other US School , Texas application process is little bit rigid! They will not process your apps until they receive your official transcript hard copy, whereas most of others will like to receive that if and only if you get admitted..

FYI, in case people were wondering, I was told it takes about 4 weeks from interview for a decision.

I agree. Between that and not getting the application out, Texas's application was really painful. I felt like such a jerk hounding my recommenders to get their forms in at the last minute.

For the group stats: I applied before the early deadline and interviewed on 3 Dec.

Has anyone heard about admissions offers?

I went to a Texas MBA info session in San Francisco on Friday (12/3), and apparently, one person in the room had already been admitted! The Admissions person said that someone present had already been offered admission, but she said she wasn't going to embarrass that person by calling him/her out by name.

Just wondering if anyone has heard. Unless I'm misinformed, 12/3 was only 3 weeks from when interview invites were sent out!

Impressive! but it doesn't surprise me. For a certain fraction of applicants, they probably already knew they wanted to accept a student on the basis of their application, so when the interview came back positive, it was a no brainer to accept.

Obviously that's not going to be true for a lot of other people -- where the interview may be an additional way to sort the applicants (and thus need to be evaluated in light of all other applicants and the rest of the application on the whole). But since UT is rolling and there are almost certainly some superstars that they don't have to think hard about, why bother waiting on the acceptance?

I've heard that financial aid/scholarships/in-state waivers aren't decided until later though. Anyone have any insight on that?

I imagine some of the earliest applicants have received decisions. I submitted my application right away on October 8th, but my second recommender didn't get his form in until the 30th of October. I got my invite on the 18th of November and interviewed on the 3rd of December. If someone had everything in line, they could have finished about three weeks earlier at everything and been the only finalized application at the ADCOM.

I don't think a decision by now is unrealistic at all in that case.
