just got an interview invite...
any advice from alums on whether it makes a difference if you interview on or off campus?
For what it's worth, I interviewed with an alum, and he brought a printed page of questions the school wanted him to ask. He asked a few, but once he realized I was really prepared for them he quit and we spent the next 30 minutes chatting about B-School life in general. I think that tendency to veer off track is why people are concerned about alum interviews.
An added bonus with interviewing on campus is that it demonstrates a little more commitment to the school. It's a lot harder to fly to Austin than have coffee with an alum.
