Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if the MGMAT guides cover all topics and types of questions on the GMAT or if I should complement them with other books? I currently have the MGMAT 4th edition guides, as well as the CR and IR guides from the 5th edition, and refer to the OG and QR/VR for questions. Are there any topics / question types on the GMAT which are not covered in these guides? Would you recommend any other books about particular GMAT problem strategies to complement the Manhattan guides?

It really depends on your math level. I don't think MGMAT is comprehensive with coordinate geometry (based off of what I see with GMAT prep), but granted, that's not a topic that's tested often. Personally, once you go through the MGMAT and then the OG, you should supplement accordingly to what you think you may need additional help with.
I think the Verbal portion of the exam is determined by which strategies work for you and repetition of the OG material to find patterns. I would definitely read Scientific American if you are not a big science fan. Reading RC like passages is the best thing you can do to get RC up consistently.

I might be slightly biased -- but I think our guides are quite comprehensive. That said, books are just books. I'd caution you against buying too many different 'kinds' of books, because at some point, there is a pretty significant set of diminishing returns, and some of the advice can feel (and might be!) contradictory in nature.
