I will add also that some people opt to work for not for profits. Some schools have loan forgiveness or grants specifically for those that wish to take those not for profit roles that may have low pay.

Hi Guys,

As I am done with my GMAT, I was seeing all the college sites - their course structure and career statistics, something just caught off my eyes; something which has not been ever discussed alot by anybody on GMATCLUB

As I went through Fuqua and Tepper's site, please find below the links

https://www.fuqua.duke.edu/documents/mba ... 011-12.pdf

and https://kelley.iu.edu/MBA/Careers/Statis ... 20163.html

I noticed that the lowest salaries for the colleges in question are $25k and $28k - I got shivers in my spine seeing these numbers mainly because I dont want to be left with a low-paying job after investing a lot into my MBA fees and expenditure.

Please let me know if I am missing some anything.

Whenever I see those bottom numbers in the range, I always think that they are people that went to 1 or 2 places. The first would be an early stage startup, where you're salary is very small, but perhaps you have a significant equity arrangement. The other is working internationally in a developing country. If you're working in Nigeria, I'd go out on a limb and say they won't be paying you 100k USD, as the cost of living there is way different.

Whatever the scenario is, I imagine the grads that have those salary numbers took those jobs knowing the situation. I do not think those numbers are grads that had no other option than to take a hourly job at McDonalds, lol.

I could be wrong - but that is just my 0.02.

Hi,

Just check out the link below:

https://mba.insead.edu/documents/MBA_EMP ... ISTICS.pdf

This is a very recent placement report of INSEAD. Minimum salary is 17,200 Euros!!

Even I got a chill in the spine...
