Hi everybody. I'm planning to apply to Rice's Professional MBA program for the Class of 2019 and I would appreciate any feedback on my profile, particularly interested in whether or not I need to retake the GMAT.
GMAT: 670 (Q45/36) - I'm aware this is above average for the Professional program, but my undergrad GPA is below Rice's average so I'm not sure if I should retake the GMAT to help my chances. I scored better on all my practice tests (most recently 710) so I know I can do better.
GPA: 2.97 - I'm not the person I was in college or when I graduated, which I'm sure everyone with a lower GPA says.
School - Evangel University. Don't feel bad if you've never heard of it. Not many have.
Major - Biblical Studies.
Military Experience - 13.5 years in Army National Guard to include six years working full-time for the military (civilian and military capacities). Currently a Captain heading into company command in the next year. I've help positions from supervising 30 personnel and $800,000 of equipment to overseeing all logistics operations for a organization of 800 with $54,000,000 in government property and equipment.
Civilian Experience - Since I left full-time government service two years ago, I have been employed with a steel company where I am currently an Assistant Operations Manager for a facility that employees around 100 floor employees in the Houston area.
Thank you in advance.
