Hi guys,

Mildly freaking out here and not quite sure what to do. I accidentally wrote “Project” instead of “PRODUCT” Manager in my post-MBA goal section. Genuinely not sure how that happened and I don’t know if I’m smoked, should reach out to the school, or if I’m totally overreacting. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi,

It is not a TYPO- as in - you did not get the spelling wrong. You gave them a completely new word, and this might cause them to misunderstand your goals.

If this school had a long version of Short term + Long Term goals essay, and you wrote Product Manager there, you are fine, and you can ignore it. They will understand that you got Project manager on the online form by mistake.

I think it is okay if you dropped them an email updating them. No harm.

Thanks, Jatin

@nonttraditional91 I agree it would be fine to drop them an email. Also rest assured that you probably provided a lot of context - for example, if you said you are interested in a marketing concentration and becoming a Project Manager for Nestle they will connect the dots and know you mean Product Manager.
