Thanks for the reply ! Glad to hear some positive feedbacks in regard to the age question.

As for the timing question, I lost both my green card and passport while traveling this month, so I can't take the gmat till my green card or passport is replaced . It takes at least 3 months to get a greencard. Unless I can get a way around it, I won't have a gmat score till September ! In addition, I am partner ing up with a company in China to sell a great program which I see great potential in generating profits for my current company. I would want to put that in my resume and application as well . I could send in the proposal to our CEO this year but the earliest I can put a proposal will be Oct 2014 ...

These two reasons combined made me consider the options of going for MBA at age of 30 instead 29

I do not know why the age 30 should be a problem... I am 25 and just been admitted to Tepper, and I saw the average age there was like 28-29, which means some students are well over 30 in the class..

but a lot also depends on your social circle, especially your family and the culture you are from. For example, in India, mostly parents and close family members pressurize people to get married and settled down by 27-28 and start looking at buying or building houses, after which pursuit of higher education becomes difficult, though even that is changing now.. While in more open societies, as far as i know, people continue to build their career well past 30.

29/30 is definitely not too old to apply to b-school. No reason to let your age stop you from achieving your goals - after all, age is just a number. Getting accepted to b-school is more about what you bring to the table, not how old you are.
