I finally decided to write my very first post here, though I lurked here for a long time in "read-only mode".
Well, since I scheduled my retake at the end of November I'm a little anxious and I have to know, do anyone have most recent recommendations regarding Gmat verbal section, because all previous techniques I read before seem to be a bit out of date. To clarify, at my latest exam I faced a lot of questions that were not similar to problems in free GmatPrep or in OG12-13. Mostly it is the case of SC questions. There were many fully underlined sentences mostly focused on meaning rather than grammar rules and there were barely any idiom questions in entire section. And after all my verbal score was no more than 30. I have heard that GMAC recently readjusted exam questions difficulty, but I didn't find any official evidence for this. Anyway, I will appreciate any suggestion about what I should focus on within remained two weeks.
Thanks!

Yes, there has been a gradual and continuous shift away from idioms to make the test more fair to non-native English speakers. Emphasis on meaning-based questions is stronger as a result. This concept of structure and meaning is something we cover in our video course and video explanations to questions on our online Q&A platform.

I can also confirm now, that such shift toward meaning is indeed makes easier SC questions for tech-people, because solving this type of questions could be algorithmized, as opposed to remembering a bunch of exceptions.
