Re: Aristotle SC Grail vs Manhattan SC Guide [#permalink]
I agree with sudhir. I think it's a good idea to use both books instead of using one. Both of them complement each other. You may want to start with Aristotle SC Grail as it goes in a very systematic way and will give you a clarity and make you strong in most of the areas. Then going through MGMAT SC Guide would provide a further boost to your SC skills. So I suggest that go through them one by one.

The thing with SC is you have to keep practicing ! You can read all the guidebooks in the world , but it'll count for nothing if you don't know how each of these strategies is actually applied .

hello guys, and what you guys would suggest me: I have finished MGMAT SC and think I still need a fine tuning on some concepts... Do you guys think it is better to redo MGMAT or to start over with Aristotle?

i have both aristotle and manhattan sc guide .. but i dont know which one to study
which is better ? manhattan seems too daunting to start with ..
but i wanna go with the better of the two so what would you suggest

MGMAT SC guide is a must for a 650 -700+ score.
Aristotle prep is a condensed form of MGMAT SC guide..

Study MGMAT SC guide --> practice OG related problems at the end of each chapter. Complete SC guide then start with aristotle prep..

just google "how to prepare for GMAT sentence correction GMAT kolaveri" -- to know how to use MGMAT sc guide...

I think that a better method of practicing questions from a particular topic is not to see the question numbers which test you on that particular concept. In Manhattan SC, it's given at the end of each chapter for OG) and in Aristotle SC, it is given at the end of the book for their 100 questions. Basically if you know a particular question tests you on parallelism, what else is there to actually do in the question. I rather suggest that after having done a particular concept, you should do some questions randomly BUT only find that particular concept in those questions.

I started with MGMAT. I'd say the MGMAT book is more comprehensive although both of them are good.

I beg to differ.

Not taking away any credit from Mgmat sc guide since its a value for money but SC grail is a excellent book.

The book is written in a easy, short and understandable manner. For non natives SC grail is a better option.

Ps- Before reading SC grail i have read Mgmat SC twice.
