Currently, there is an increasing interest in multiple autonomous mobile robot systems due to their applicability to various tasks such as space missions, operating in hazardous environments, and military operations.

A. operating in hazardous environments, and military operations.

B. operations in hazardous environments, and in military operations.

C. and operations in military or hazardous environments.

D. operations in hazardous environments, and operations that are military.

E. military and hazardous environments operations.

I don't have OA for this

I am torn between C and E but go with E for llism: space missions ll military operations

I disagree. E actually is not parallel

military and hazardous environments operations != military and hazardous environment's/envirnorment operations

Lack of apostrophe in E makes the sentence meaningless.

C remains and is parallel

E is not parallel....so it's C

military and hazardous environments operations != military and hazardous environment's/envirnorment operations

A. operating in hazardous environments, and military operations. (Here do not confuse with
"operating in hazardous environments" Its just a modifier to "space mission". Its "space mission" and "military operations" in the list and are perfectly parallel).

B. operations in hazardous environments, and in military operations. -- Not parallel

C. and operations in military or hazardous environments. ("And" and "OR" is not making sense Gmatically)

D. operations in hazardous environments, and operations that are military. (Not parallel)

E. military and hazardous environments operations. (Worst possibility is this could be the answer , But A is making much more sense)
I don't have OA for this

I think , the answer is A.

I do too think everything is fine with A, because operating in hazardous environments is a noun an therefore parallel with the other two nouns.

Agree with GmatEnemy explanation ...just wanted to bring another perspective ...
to me option B seems parallel...
it uses the format :....operations in X and in Y ..
operations in hazardous environments, and in military operations
Commetns pls !!

we are giving a list of exaples various tasks such as :
space missions noun and we have to work around it, because it is not underlined

operations in hazardous environments one long noun

military operations the third noun parallel with space missions

agree with icandy.

E is wrong. C has to be it.

I agree with earlier post about B. B is most appropriate.
C is saying operations in xxxxx or yyyyy. original sentence means to include both. so perhaps we may not want to change the meaning. Further, I think that hazardous environment is separate from military operations and we may be changing meaning from military ops to ops in military environment. May be I am being too picky.
