Hello Everyone!
I am new to GMAT Club and this is my fist post. In fact, I am new to the entire application process, and I am currently considering an MBA from a Business School in the USA (2021-23 or 2022-24). My question is to the experts here and I am very thankful to you all in advance.
I am an Indian female from a non-engineering background. I have completed my bachelors (in commerce) from one of the best institutes in the country and masters (in human resources) from a top institute in the country as well.
I have around 3.5 years of experience post my masters. I am currently working with a manufacturing MNC (headquartered in India) at a middle level position and doing decent at my job. The highlights of my professional career are rolling out initiatives/ leading projects at a global level for my organization, managing resources early in my career, and working very closely with the senior leadership of my organization. I do have some community service experience as well, I have been involved with a not for profit as a teaching volunteer.
Coming to my scores at college, that's where the biggest problem lies. I have really low grades in my bachelor's degree (45% out of 100%); however I have decent grades in my master's degree and I was one of the toppers at my school. As I understand that the bachelor's grades are looked at and others don't matter; I am pretty worried.
My question to you all experts here are as follows:
a) Looking at my low grades, do you think that I stand a chance at any of the top 10 b-schools in the USA?
a) If you answered the above question as YES, how difficult do you think it will be for me to get into such schools?
c) Any suggestions which might help me compensate for my low grades at college for my b-school application?
d) Considering my low grades and the schools I am targeting, what should be a good GMAT score for me?
Thank you for your inputs!
