Plural verb "dismiss" is not in agreement with singular "he".

:)
The second part of the statement which is after comma seems to be a problem. "he now dismiss all thoughts of" does not agree to the verb.
Option A- wrong
Option B- Perfect, as it corrects the error
Option C-The same error persists
Option D-Have is in plural form
Option E- The tense of the first half and second half does not match

Hence , Option B is the answer

B) has failed, he now dismisses all thoughts of his ever ----- I knew he dismisses should be there .. but all thoughts of his ever ... I found this wordy and awkward ..
Can some one explain this .. ?

+1 for option B. Decision points are - has vs have & singular dismisses with he.

In my opinion all have something wrong, but grammar mistakes overweight stylish mistakes
A) has failed, he now dismiss all thoughts of - DISMISSES
B) has failed, he now dismisses all thoughts of his ever - wordy but is well written
C) has failed, he now dismiss all thoughts about - DISMISSES
D) have failed, he now dismisses all thoughts of - HAS FAILED
E) is failing, he now dismiss all thoughts of - HAS FAILED

and I believe dismisses thoughts about something is better than dismisses thoughts of something, if this was the case the less mistaken would be B anyway.
