Hello:

I took my GMAT and got a 710 (48 Q, 39 V). I am trying to get to the 730+ range. When I initially took the GMAT i just used a bunch of the online questions I could find on GMAT Club and used the GMAT official guide.

What is the best Online study program I can buy to help me push my score?

I believe my biggest weakness is in sentence correction, but could use general brushing up throughout.

Hi gmat750please,

First off, a 710/Q48 is an outstanding score (it's right around the 90th percentile overall), so you can comfortably apply to any Schools that interest you. As such, a retest is probably not necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

http://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admission ... tants-124/

There's no harm in retaking the GMAT though. To properly define what you would need to work on to score higher, it would help to know as much as we can about this recent Official performance. As such, you might choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn't provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what you should work on to score higher. If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

Hi gmat750please,

Congratulations on your achievement so far!

As you probably already know getting a score above your level is more difficult than, let’s say, from 660 to 700 because it requires more refinement as to how to approach high-level questions and manage time more effectively. Since we are a math expert, we will stick with giving you advice on how to improve your quant score above 49.

Between Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency question types, we recommend you to focus on DS first because DS can be a quick win. Also, focus on 5 key types of problems: integer, statistics, inequality, probability, and absolute value which account for 80% of the GMAT exam. We believe that there are patterns and logic to GMAT quant problems. Learning these patterns and logic is key to manage your time more effectively. With Math Revolution’s Variable Approach for DS questions, you can learn this logic while minimizing time spent on each question and improving accuracy. On average, our students have about 10 minutes to spare before the exam ends. Also the Variable Approach applies to almost all of DS questions. Here is an example how the Variable Approach can be applied. When you encounter a DS problem, you first need to count the number of variables and equations given in the question. By doing so, you can determine which answer choice will most likely be the answer. If there are only two variables in a question, you need at least 2 equations to solve the question. Since two conditions in the question usually give 2 separate equations, it is most likely that C (both conditions together are sufficient) will be the answer.

Here is our detailed guide on how to improve your score above 49. Hope this will help as well.

Hi gmat750please, since you mention SC as your specific area of concern, thought I would mention that our sentence correction book Sentence Correction Nirvana is perhaps the only book that offers a score improvement guarantee, and is especially designed for non-native speakers.

After reading the book twice (yes! it's an academic book, and so must be read twice in all seriousness, to reinforce the concepts), you will start looking forward to solving SC questions!

The book is available on Flipkart and Amazon.in. You might want to refer to these sites, to also read testimonials of how readers have benefited.

See here how Mohit, who scored 750 on GMAT, vouches for our book.

If you want to sample a chapter before deciding to go ahead with our book, please PM me your mail-id (along with the chapter that you would like to sample) and I will be happy to send that chapter to you by mail. In addition, the entire Grammar section of the book is also available for free preview at pothi.

Hi gmat750please,

In addition to reaching out to folks here, have you spent some time reading through the GMAT Club reviews for the best quant and verbal courses? You also may find my it helpful to read my article about
