How are the NTU MFE and SMU MQF programs in Singapore?

Hello Manick9

If I would decide to study/live/work in Asia, Singapore would be my first choice.

Strength of NTU MFE would be their partnership and opportunity to spend 7 weeks at Carnegie Mellon University, USA.

You will also obtain Certificate in Computational Finance from CMU, and they have one of the best programs in this field, so every exposure to them is big plus.

On the other hand, by attending SMU MQF you can get joint degree from Cass, and even spend there 2 semesters which is great, especially if you possibly want to stay to work there.

My recommendation is apply to both.

I go with Edhec but why do you choose mim to study? I think their msc in finance is better with high ranking in financial time
Tell me your thinking

I don't know whether MIM in finance is better or Msc Finance for practical exposure in finance world. Basically I want to study finance but my background is commerce .
Moreover I want to study from a school which can provide me opportunities after job as I am a fresher who intends to work in Finance but currently not able to as I don't have that degree.

Where do you want to work after graduation? And what type of work in Finance are you interested in?

Probably in India .
I have never been practically exposed to Financial field as such so I don't know which part would interest me more so I was seeking a course which will give me broader knowledge of all domains of Finance.

I can't speak for programs in India but my advice is to get a sense of what kind of jobs are out there and what seem interesting to you. Since many Masters in Finance programs are just 1 year (at least in US/UK), that's not enough time to then understand what job to do and go recruit. If you come in without a plan for a job, you'll be hurting yourself with recruiting.

If you are only looking to get exposed to Finance, try taking a couple of classes online on things like MIT OpenCourseWare

Ya that's a nice idea.
But what all kinds of jobs are there in finance?
Should I first take some work ex and then consider this?
