I will be taking GMAT in less than 4 weeks. I started training 1.5 weeks ago and scored 710 at GMAT Prep and 700
Manhattan GMAT. The aim is 720+. In general, my quant is 47-49 (with nearly all mistakes coming from DS) and verbal is 39-44 (60% mistakes come from SC (non-native speaker), 20% from RC and CR).
At the moment, I am operating on extremely constrained budget, thus any purchases of specialised material are beyond considerations. However, the university's career centre has quite a wide choice of GMAT preparation books (some of which might be a bit outdated) and there seems to be plenty free tests available online.
What strategy would you pursue? I can spend ±3h daily/7days a week.
At the moment, I am finishing
the Official Guide v12. In addition, I also got a Manhattan SC guide from the library.
If you are doing well in PS, there is no reason for you to not do well in DS. After all, Math concepts they test are the same in both. DS questions do take a little more time than PS questions. I just mentioned a DS strategy in a post. Let me repeat it here:
Read the question stem and analyze it till you understand what is given and what is asked. Go to stmnt 1 (or 2) first and see if it is enough. If not, put a cross next to it. Else put a tick next to it... Go back to the question stem and quickly look at it to refresh what data it has and what it doesn't (i.e. filter out stmnt 1 info from your mind). Then go to stmnt 2 (or 1) and now see if it is enough. Tick or cross it accordingly. Now select your answer.... or something else, whatever you like the most... Thereafter, practice the strategy in every DS question till it becomes second nature...
Focus on these finer points and you should do well...
Almost all test prep companies offer a free CAT. Try those to identify your weaknesses. Clear out those kinks. Then try another GMAT prep test. A 750+ in GMAT prep test would be a good indicator of a similar score on actual GMAT.
