Total no of ways selecting 4 cards = 12x11x10x9
Total no of ways selecting all 4 different cards =12(any card) x 10(all card except the one already selected and the one with same number)x8(all card except the two already selected and the two with same numbers)x6(all card except the three already selected and the three with same number )

Probability of selecting all diff cards = 12x10x8x6/12x11x10x9 =16/33
probability of selecting at least 1 pair = 1-16/33 = 17/33

Each of the 6 cards within a suit has a different value from 1 to 6; thus, for each value from 1 to 6, there are two cards in the deck with that value.
