We don’t require any other info as apples are bought and sold at the same rate 4 for $1.
Thus, let us concentrate only on walnuts.
The cost price of each walnut is \(\frac{1}{5}\), and the selling price is \(\frac{5}{20}=\frac{1}{4}\)
Profit per walnut =\(\frac{1}{4}-\frac{1}{5}=\frac{1}{20}\)
So number of walnuts required for 3$ profit = \(\frac{3}{\frac{1}{20}}=3*20=60\)

Price of one walnut bought = $\(\frac{1}{5}\), Price of one apple bought = $\(\frac{1}{4}\), Total amount spent in buying = $19.50
Selling price of one walnut = Selling price of one apple = $\(\frac{5}{20}\) = $\(\frac{1}{4}\)
Profit gained = $3
From data, it can be seen that Bob sold apples at the same price at which he bought.
So, whatever profit that Bob gained was from selling Walnuts at higher price.
Let number of walnuts that Bob bought = x
Profit on selling one walnut = Selling price of walnut - Buying price of walnut = $\(\frac{1}{4}\) - $\(\frac{1}{5}\)= $\(\frac{1}{20}\)
Profit on selling x walnuts = $\(\frac{1}{20}\) * x
=> $\(\frac{1}{20}\) * x = $3
=> x = 3 * 20 = 60.
So, correct answer is option D.
