Hey all!
I am sure this has been a discussion topic elsewhere, so if there is a good, recent conversation already discussed, please send a link. I have been admitted to both Columbia and Booth and intend to go into investment banking (at least for a summer internship). I already work doing M&A as a consultant so am not a major career switcher.
Without having gone to both schools, it seems I like Booth's program more (and they definitely do a better job trying to recruit). The lure of NYC is strong though and feel like being at Columbia will be an advantage (at the very least cost-wise) during recruiting. I do not need to be in NY after school, but it feels like it is the best place to do banking and do not want to be disadvantaged further in my career by not doing banking in NYC so I expect to recruit there.
Thoughts and advice are greatly appreciated as I have no idea what to do and the admit student weekends are the same weekend!
