Hi,
Again a question where the choices give away the answer without reading anything.. 1) Brian has $1 more than four times the amount of money Anna has.. What does it tell us about the money Brian has....... IT is 4A +1 .. so ONLY C is of this format 17 = 4*4+1..ANS REST all are of format 4*x+3...
NORMAL method.. \(B = 4A+1..\) three times the amount of money that Brian has ---- 3*(4A+1)--- were subtracted from twice the amount of money that Anna has---2A---, the result would be a negative $43. \(2A-3(4A+1) = 2A-12A-3=-43..................-10A=-40..................A=4.\) so \(B = 4*4+1=17\) C
