I can understand why they were so eager to admit you that early TL, they can't wait to hear you share your experience in the McCombs class, about building spacecrafts or whatever it is that you do in the space agency where you work.

My experience is the exception - by far. 3-5 weeks seems pretty common. Good luck!

Three weeks up since my interview and no response yet from McCombs.
Seems like they have a ton of applications this year.

I just had my interview at Texas on Monday (I went on-campus since I wanted to visit again). My interview was with a 2nd year from the Ad-Com. They were saying that application numbers are up across the board and they are no exception. Despite the increase in applicants, they are holding firm at 260 (4 cohorts of 65).

One other note to mention is that while preview weekend is the April 12-13 weekend, they are planning to convert one of the Texas Friday events (early May) into a 2nd preview weekend of those admitted after the preview weekend.

It's official. I've put my deposit down on McCombs. Deciding between great schools wasn't an easy decision by any means, but I think I made the right one.

The MBA Preview weekend was fantastic - I can't say enough about the people I met there.

I'm sitting at 4.5 weeks and still have not heard a word. One of the girls I met at an admit weekend for another school, who also interviewed at Texas, just got the admit call. The only problem, she interviewed two weeks after me and already got admitted. Uh oh......

@ SoccrRef & dextrous

It won't hurt to call. From what I've been told apps are way up and they're running behind.

Very sorry to hear about that. As I recall you've still got some outstanding applications to other schools right?

I got the call this past Friday saying that I was admitted -- what a huge relief! While I am still waiting to hear from Berkeley, it's most likely that I will be attending this Fall. Is anyone planning to attend the Preview Friday event scheduled for 5/2?

Congrats juggy! I too am on the Berkeley waitlist, but even if I get in there I want to go to Texas.

I did the first preview weekend and it was fantastic - you'll have a great time.

Texas is not my first choice, I am looking to stay in the NE however I may apply. I was just wondering how hard would it be to land a job in the NYC area for MC after graduating from Texas? Considering most of the students are staying in the southeast, is it even worth it to apply?

Thanks

At the MBA Preview Weekend I spoke with a several 2nd years who were heading off to jobs in NYC. Just about all the big recruiters recruit at UT. While it is southwest heavy, many McCombs students end up on both coasts.

I'd suggest calling McCombs' career center and talking with Aaron Katz. He's got the latest data that aren't yet published (I think) for this year's graduating class. He can also tell you about the changes aimed to place students further from the southwest.
