I will be staying at Nob Hill .... I got an ok deal 720 for a small 1 bd apartment.
I just hope Nob Hill is not very run down ... because the apts are kind of old, but I like the location and I am ok with the price

cheeeeeeeeers :beer
Darden, welcome to Michigan! :) The Nob Hill will be pretty close to our place, so you're always welcome!

I have not- I think based on some of the emails that people have shared on the google groups, it seems like the school recommends applying for the loan after July 23rd as thats the date when the tuition is finalized.

In any case, I think the max you can borrow is $64k- and I dont know if it is dependent on the number of dependents ;)

ncprasad
Did anyone submit their CitiAssist application? How much can we borrow? Is it based on the # of dependents?

ncprasad : As far as I know, it is independent on the number of dependents. As for the amount right now it maxes out at roughly $62,500, again roughly $18,000 is for personal
expenses. After 23th when the tuition goes up, probably the limit will be readjusted at Tuition+$18,000 (roughly)...

p.s. I'm glad we did not lose you to the West Coast!

Is anyone else besides myself, NCP and Dosa living in Woodbury? Apparently we're all in the same building.

Really? I know nc and I are in the same building, now you too? ;)

This is pretty cool - maybe they decided that all gmatclubbers staying at WG should be in one building :D

Its pretty humorous that GMATclubbers are not only going to be classmates soon but also neighbors. Its probably going to be very common for Ross and Kellogg people to be within close proximity of each other.

For all those Rossies arriving before Aug 1st, how about meeting up sometime over the last week of July?

It would be fun to catch up and explore the university considering we wont have much to do (other than cleaning) before Aug 4th.

Oh ok. I dont think getting "A" loan is a problem, just that your interest rates/fees might go up. Currently Ross has the best private loan program at Prime with no need for a co-signor and no fees of any kind. I think that might just go up after Aug 1st.

What happened with the CitiAssist program?
I think I will just take the stafford loans this year, but I will probably need a little extra next year.

Apparently Citi and Ross are going to discuss new terms for loans on August 1st and Ross had adviced all the students to apply for their loans by July 24th.

So the rates could go up and maybe there will be a co-signor requirement and maybe some fees.

co-signer requirement? ... that would be very difficult for international students

The co-signer requirement is what I am worried about, not some extra fees :(

... also, when do you guys think we will find out about the new terms?, August 2nd?
