waitlisted. Guys.. any tips you would like to give me. I think for Michigan waitlist is like a ding .. especially this year. :(

Try to get a feedback from the school. If they point out any specific weaknesses - you are lucky, work on mitigating them.
Try to get some additional recos from Ross alums and current students.

What can I do to enhance my MBA application?
You are welcome to notify us of significant updates that have occurred since you submitted your application, such as test scores, promotions, awards, and other achievements. To do so, please send an email with any of the above-mentioned information to the Associate Director who signed your decision letter. Please note that new information submitted should be significant. Multiple emails to your Associate Director with insignificant information may actually hinder your chances for admission.

Also, check out this waitlist transcript from 2006. It may provide additional insight.

to the admitted people: did you receive the email with the link to that html-website?

I think thats kinda cool. Nice little extra effort there. Or do all schools do that?

helg, I ll try to get access to the forum now.

Aha, you tried to login at the same time as I did. 2 min. after technical service had started :) I logged in into the friend's account and tried to research options available. But operating hours are 6 am to 4 am EST. We have to wait another couple of hours.

Michigan has very-very good technical infrastructure - this is one of the points why I love it.

I am sure it is. :) Somehow I am getting myself more psyched about Ross by the day. Actually seeing (as in a CGI animation) the new building and getting that info helped as well.

And now I just got confirmation from BCG in my home country that they do recruit from Ross...

After that weird interview with the Haas alum yesterday, Haas has moved down in my personal ranking and Ross up.

Nope, Germany. :) But if they recruit from Ross in Germany, I am sure they do in the UK as well.

BTW: As I was just looking into that:

Here are Ross' partner universities:

Too bad IESE is not among them... would have liked to combine the best of both worlds.

Guys, you said UK?.. In the morning I talked about location choice after school and my friend told me that consulting companies in UK hire mostly from H/S/W and from UK schools. But you have cheered me up :)

Well, these are two different questions as I see it:
- do UK-based companies recruit in Ross?
- do UK-based companies hire Ross students?

;)

As far as I know, the intention is that it will be put in use as of Fall'08.

You still have ESADE within the list, so Barcelona is still an option for yo!!! Man I love Barcelona!

UK based consulting companies hire at all TOP15 schools. Read: Bain, BCG, Mckinsey, Booz Allen, etc...

Actually they hire from other courses besides MBA, I have a friend who made an MS at LSE and works at Mckinsey. So do not worry, at Ross you will have shots at those companies. Also Ross is at the MBA provision of the UK's HSMP program, so no VISA issues :-D
