I know. I spent practically the first seven years of my life on the equator, and I tell people it's given me tropical blood. I hate the cold. Good luck with USC. I think my experience shows you simply can't tell how it's going to turn out.

To those that got a fellowship: did you only receive it in the mail packet or did you also receive an email or something? Just out of curiosity.

Got an email on 3/31 (UCLA R2 decision day) with the fellowship information. Also got a packet in the mail today with the same info in hardcopy.

hey guys,

i've been accepted to usc but just got the letter in the mail and no fellowship. i really like usc but not sure i can go w/ no money. does anyone know on what basis they award 2nd yr scholarships? is it based solely on gpa?

look forward to meeting everyone at admit weekend!

Okay, thanks for the info--I havent heard anything yet but wasnt sure if they did it like USC or if they emailed you ahead of time. Sounds like I wont be getting anything from them.

I haven't recieved my packet yet, is there info on admit weekend? Is there some kind of schedule? Do we need to register? The lady on the phone told me I could show up as early as 2pm on friday, but kind of doubt i can get there so early...

The tremendous amount of feedback from the school through this whole process has really impressed me !!

ARIL - I agree, I was expecting something more robust.

No $$ for me either, and not too keen on 130k debt....

DC DEVIL: No there wasn't. I had previously received an e-mail from admissions saying that Admit week information would be sent to me soon, but I haven't got anything. Ill get in touch with them soon and find out.

CAL BEAR: Yeah! The realization of the 130k debt is starting to sink in! :-D Hmmmnnn ... What are your options??

Well, I will likely be declining my offer--so I hope they redistribute scholarships.
