I think it could also have to do with the email preferences each person set up when they started their GMAC account. When I look at my account information (I don't think I can post a screen shot), I see that I chose NOT to receive information from any schools regarding program information. I didn't receive this email from Kellogg, but I also haven't received any emails from ANY schools about GMAT submission or any other application milestone.
Regardless, I'm starting to feel a bit foolish about putting this much thought into this when we'll all know our individual status within 24 hours. Good luck to all!
I was verified on 2/16 but did not receive the email on Friday. However, I did not completely opt out of being contacted. Here are my settings on MBA.com:
Yes, I want schools to contact me with program information.
Yes, I want financial aid information.
No, I do not want information about recruiting events.
No, I do not want information about preparing to enroll in an MBA program.
No, I do not want GMAT preparation or other test-related information.
No, I do not want news and information about mba.com and GMAC.
No, I do not want information about military experience and graduate management education.
