@KT780 I am also an Indian based out of India waiting for results. Last year, the people who got accepted at Booth from India did not post in this forum. I would love to know the exact time at which Booth called the accepted candidates from India last year. My guess is that it should be around 9 PM IST. Do you have any clue? Its not worth waiting anxiously the entire day. It should be a half an hour window within which if one does not get the call, the doors are closed for him
I would like to have an answer too...a fellow Indian on the same boat...The time seems to have slowed its pace suddenly...

Am in the Indian applicant boat too..personally, I think the adcom will call on its 15th...which is from 15th night and till 16th morning for us. So let us not drink to God's glory on 15th night and be sober enough to say 'thank you' if the call comes!
All the best everyone...i'm surprised I can still breathe with this fast heartbeat!
One hour ago I received a call from an American number (I'm in Asia...), I picked the phone and it was a girl...
Girl: "Hello. Are you XX?" Me "Yes I am" (thats IT!! I did it !! So happy!!) Girl: Is this a good moment? Me: "Yes" (of course, come on! I'm waiting your call since 1900) Girl: "Are you in the job market? I found your profile in Linkedin and I have an interesting position ... "

It's too early in Chicago right now, but that must really hurt! Did you curse her?

lol...this is still better than getting life time free credit card or pre-approved personal loan offers

What I understand my previous years posts is that admit calls came a day prior on 15th (which means 14th for us this year) & WL & ding emails came on the d-day of 16th Dec (which means 15th for us this year).

Is this deduction true or false?

Yes. This also seems consistent with the way interviews invitations were distributed this year.

then calls should start in a few hours right?

I believe so. But again, this is assuming that it will follow the interview invite distribution and last year's decision notification.
I guess the Indian applicants should get a call today. As per what happened last year, Chicago starts from Hongkong. Then they should be calling Indians and then move to Europe and finally to US. If they start early, they would be able to contact all the candidates today. Tomorrow the rest of us wait for dings. There shud be approx 200 calls to make.

here in HK it's already 8:20 PM and in Chicago is 6:20 AM, and I don't think they will call after 10-11 PM (8-9 AM in Chicago).
If they make the calls from Chicago then it's going to be tough to call here.

Looks like it's going to be a very tough night for us living in Asia

Won't be easier for them to call Asian candidates during Chicago's evening? Lets say around 6-7 PM, which is 8-9 AM HK time of Wednesday.
