A bit confused about their deadlines - I submitted before the Jan 4th date and my status said "submitted, being printed for review" (or some such), then few days later got an email saying my file was not complete b/c one of the recommendations was missing (fair enough). So does this now mean my application is not being reviewed until April 11?

well if your recommender has submitted the evaluation then just mail them and you will see you app go back to sumbitted and then to print and sent for review.
had the same case, emailed them/called them and all changed back in a few hours.
Submitted: January 4, 2012 Status Update: January 5, 2012 (Application is being printed and prepared for review.) Status Update: January 12, 2012 (Your application is under review.)
I don't that this is an indication of anything, but thought I'd post as an FYI. Best of luck to all.
HELP... I submitted my CBS app on Jan 4th. However, my transcript is somewhat illegible (black & white scanned copy). I don’t know if I should reach out to them with an updated very easy to see color version or wait until I get a msg from them saying my application is incomplete bc of this…should I email/call them and be proactive? Or, wait and not annoy them?

I think you should do it.
I got my TOEFL results after I had submitted my Wharton application. Although TOEFL was not really required by Wharton, I thought it would be a good idea to send them my scores. The Wharton operation team was really nice and did it for me within a few hours. Obviously, Wharton has a separate operation team which do not judge your application content-wise. It may be the same for CBS.
Quick question: I've been promoted recently, and got excellent performance reviews at my current company (info that I could not put into the CBS application since this didn't take place when I submitted my app). Should I email or call adcom to let them know about this update, if it helps my app any?
Got the call today!! Just after I finished submitting the rest of my R2 apps, I got off the d-list at CBS!
This forum has been a big support for me throughout the process. Hope the rest of you that are waiting get some good news!

Congratulations ksk80!!
Glad to see another d-list candidate make it. I'm in the same boat so it kinda gives hope. Can you share your timeline and profile? I think you waited for quite a while before you got the call right?
