I finally got a call today from admissions. Applied 12/18, interview 1/20, Complete 1/24, so I got a call from Unknown and the voicemail was from one of the admissions associate directors. Now its after business hours and I left a message, but will have to wait until tomorrow to know. Is there any possibility that this call will be anything other than an accept!!!??? Would they do that? Thanks for your help!

Sorry for being OCD, but this process is grueling!!!!

CBS has been known to call with follow-up questions. I'd say hope for an admit call, but be fully prepared for someone to ask you questions about your profile, career goals, EMBA vs. FT MBA, etc. Either way, this is a pretty good sign. If you answer the questions to their liking, you may get the admit right then and there on the phone. Best of luck!

Thank you so much for the helpful response. I will have my gameface on tomorrow when I call back. 8 weeks into this process 1 more restless night isn't going to kill me! I'm fired up! Thanks again.

Guys - I was reading through last years forum and kind of got the feeling that acceptances are fairly hard to come by at this stage in the game (for those whose applications are not in the complete stage). Anyone have any insight on this? I have an interview tomorrow and have to drive a long friggin way to get there. Hard to get motivated if the odds are super slim. 720/3.5/top public/4yrs finance.

Absurd statement. If you have an interview you have an excellent chance of getting in.

God, submitted on 1/4 Jan, and it is still under review. Hopeless when I see all the people who got interview invites and got in.

1. How many of you guys received interview invite and applied on 1/4? Around what time you guys got the Email from CBS?
2. How many of you guys still waiting for invite and applied on 1/4?
3. Does CBS start to Ding people after they finish sending out the interview invites?

Thanks

hi
I'm in case #2, and like you, waiting is hard on the nerves...
the rolling process, i.e. no specific date to wait for the result, just keeps you from having any single sound night

let's hang in there

I have an interview scheduled for next week. After a lot of going back and forth, I decided to book a flight and go interview in a neighboring state. A good friend of mine interviewed a couple weeks back with the only option in our area. It ended up to be a nightmare, 2-hour interview with a complete d bag. Apparently, the interviewer was quite arrogant and kept correcting my friend's responses. Needless to say, my friend was dinged after it took the guy two weeks to submit the report.

Anyway, I sent an email to the same interviewer on Tuesday when I got the invite. I hadn't heard back by last night, so I sent an email to another interviewer in a neighboring state. He responded within minutes and I'm all set for next week! I hope that that was the right choice. I just didn't want to run the risk of having a similar interview.

Had my interview this morning. Not sure what to think. My interviewer was pretty tough. She kept asking me to go deeper to the point wherei found myself running out of bullets. Answered all questions with composure but admittedly had some weaker substance for a few answers. Anyone have a similar experience? Wondering of they were testing my ability to think on my feet or if my answers were insufficient.

Can anyone out here shed some light on the Columbia RD Waitlist process. Since there are no rounds, when do they start making decisions... the summer?

I submitted on 22nd Dec, and my status is still 'under review'. I haven't been invited to interview either in all this time.
Any other international applicants in a similar situation? I see that most people who've heard back (at least on this forum) are based in the US
Thanks
