Thanks for your response. So at what point do you reach out to the interviewer? My interview was on the 21st.

SO, post-interview, my application submission status says "Submitted" but underneath it says "The Admissions Committee has received your interview report. The interview process is complete".

Does that mean that my application is "Complete"?

I got the ding on 2/20 (no interview), I submitted my app pretty late, on 1/15.

It sucks, but I having 2 interviews (Booth and Wharton) I'm not so down. The big downer is that I received the ding an hour before my Booth interview...

Anyway, good luck for those still in the running.

Columbia gives the interviewers 2 weeks to submit their report. Looking at the forum, looks like depending on the interviewer, the reports are submitted anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks. It was nearly 2 weeks for me.

You can't do much but wait for them to submit the report.

I just had my interview with an alum, and it went well. We met at a predetermined location, but couldn't find any seats, so walked to another location and waited a few minutes to grab a spot. It was a pretty unexpected start, but funny too. I got really lucky with my interviewer, who was really cool and kept it informal. My interviewer told me that they get interview requests in spurts, so choose your interviewer wisely and schedule your interview asap! And also although the interview is informal, I would advise to wear business attire (I wore a suit and tie on Sunday). My interviewer was coming to meet me from a friend's house, but easily could have been coming to meet me from a social party or on the way to a social party...you never know and don't want to be under-dressed.

And know and prep for all the questions. Total time: 80 minutes

Submitted 1/3, invited to interview on 2/21. Good luck to everyone who's waiting.

did interview with local alum last week. Really thought it was going smooth but then it suddenly ended with the "Questions for me." Total time about 20 minutes. Still feel like in that 20 minutes it went well.

Interviewed with a local alum on Friday. I think it went well. I was asked the 3 signature Columbia questions (why do you need and want Columbia/ethical dilemma/leadership example). The rest of the 1 hour chat was informal. We were both interested in sustainable business consulting and had a great dialogue about career opportunities and class/clubs at CBS. We also exchanged thank you emails. Hoping for the best!

For all those that thought their interviews went poorly, don't get discouraged. I spoke to a friend and interviewer for CBS, and he said that there have been many times when the adcom did not follow his recommendations.

Good luck everyone!

I just got an email inviting me for a second interview on-campus with an Admissions Officer. It's been nearly a month since my status went complete...not sure really what to think of this nor have I heard of a second interview before.

Interesting..I've never heard of Columbia doing that. Did the email say anything else?

Nope, just that they were hoping I could come to campus sometime in the next week to interview with an Admissions Officer.

Nope, just that they were hoping I could come to campus sometime in the next week to interview with an Admissions Officer. I'm more than a little freaked out.

Good luck. I'm sure it will be low-key - admissions knows this must be uncomfortable; maybe they got a poorly written/incomplete review from your interviewer and want to ask you similar questions directly.

I submitted my application on 1/4/2012 5:49:00 PM EST within the Merit Fellowship deadline on the same date at 11:59 PM EST. However, within the invited to interview portal is says "MBA September Regular Decision". Does anyone else who submitted prior to the deadline have a similar issue?

Shouldn't it read something like "MBA September Merit Fellowship" instead of Regular Decision? It may just be inconsequential; however, I just want to make sure that I did, in fact, get things in on time.
