Everyone keeps saying we will know something tomorrow. If we have not heard from all the consortium schools we applied to and we do not end up getting a fellowship, will we hear if we got into the schools and membership into the consortium tomorrow?

Meaning, tomorrow will we know about all acceptances and wether or not we were accepted into the consortium?

not necessarily. Based on py only - most schools will release decisions day after - some usually a week or so later - Look upthread, someone called darden and they told thme the exact date...UCLA and Haas have also been notoriously later.

Ross is releasing domestic decisions for all ppl 2morow anyway so that should come out.

Take it that a lot of people will hear back tomorrow but not everyone. From what I was in PY - If a couple of ppl from you school hear, then you should hear too (ie, the schools tend to do the fellowship announcement on the same day) but you could all be waiting till a bit later.

Hope that helps.

Consortium membership will be posted "mid march" whenever that is for those who don't necessarily get the fellowship.

That helps. Thank you! I suppose it will be interesting to see what happens with consortium membership if you have not been accepted to any consortium schools by mid March. The consortium cannot tell you that you are a member with no acceptance, right?

yes, you have to be accepted to one of the consortium schools to be a member. there are those who get accepted but don't get membership though.

Great question!

I got my recommenders a gift basket of edible thingies - chocolate, cookies, candy, hot cocoa, etc. It was something they'd use that wasn't the usual (flowers, etc.), and it's a great unisex gift for male and female recommenders alike.

One of my recommenders even called me and told me that she liked my thank you gift so much that she refused to share it with anyone else on her team! Folks always seem to appreciate food stuffs, so that's the way to go.

Why care about the draft if you know you're matriculating elsewhere? Why not just withdraw? I am guessing there is sound reasoning behind it.

Because I'm the moderator of the draft and it's part of my role to help provide clear answers to people on this forum now and for future years. Hence, why I don't just have the schools I applied to on the list.

Is that a good enough reason for you? I want to make sure I garner your approval with all of my posts.

to all the folks waiting on Ross, Good luck today!

I saw on

https://blog.clearadmit.com/livewire/

that a consortium applicant got into yale and NYU yday - so that's an additional datapoint.

Because I was up at an ungodly hour, I have some stats for you. My takeaway is as you get calls - please remember to come here and update to share you excitement - it's super helpful for the next year. Granted last year's thread only went to 28 pages (and we are already at 57 before acceptances come rolling in) but it was frustrating not to gather enough data. Anyway here's what I found

2013 Draft Day - 3/11/13

Acceptance notifications

3/11
    Cornell : 2

3/12
    Hass : 2
    Emory: 2
    Wash U: 1
    Darden: 2
    Marshall: 1
    Stern: 1
    Ross: 4

3/13
    Kelley: 1
    Tuck :2

3/14
    UNC: 1
    Ross: 1
    Mccombs: 1

3/17
    Kelley - 1

3/19
    Darden:1

3/28
    UCLA - 1 (fellowship offered 4/3

As you can see, it was spread out - and tons of folks must not have reported coz there are a ton of schools not on the list. Anyway, hopefully this helps calm some folks if the don't hear today

One of my friends got a fellowship call from Darden

Do you happen to know when your friend interviewed with Darden? I had a late interview with Darden and hopefully still have a shot with acceptance and fellowship. Thanks.

I'm not sure about your situation, but I know for me Darden told me that in order to be considered for the consortium fellowship you had to interview by March 6. I was then told if I interview after the 6th I wouldn't be eligible for the fellowship, but I could still get consortium membership and a merit scholarship. Hope that helps.
