NYU just called to confirm acceptance for me as well after sending the status update yesterday. Seems like they aren't saying any fellowship/scholarship over the phone.

I'm not so sure though. We know that CGSM informs us about membership/fellowships mid march. There are several schools like UCLA who don't call until the later in the month....

Called the Consortium, they won't release anything over the phone. Next week they will confirm via online and mail. Side note: can anyone think of a situation where a school admits you, but you are not offered even membership? What would it take for that to happen? Posted from my mobile device

It depends on whether we think CGSM will actually notify us mid-March. Last year, I didn't get a Consortium decision until March 27th...the end of the month! They told us that they're notify us by the middle of March, but that clearly didn't happen. CGSM is a small organization in St. Louis. They likely don't have the manpower to go into everyone's file and update statuses by mid-March. So, chances are still good that the schools will notify you of CGSM membership and fellowships BEFORE The Consortium will. It's not 100% confirmed, but that's likely.

I know there were some people interested in brand management. If this is you, check out an organization called jumpstart advisory group. They have some Pre-MBA events and what looks like a scholarship as well (not sure of the details). Same for those interested in financial services/consulting.

That is an interesting question. I think support of the mission is fairly cut and dry. I suppose someone could have tried to connect their past experiences to the mission of the consortium too creatively, or in a way that was not really genuine, but if that were the case, it would seem very unlikely that the schools would want you...

Good question. You would have had to write a pretty terrible membership essay (or perhaps, not write one at all?). That's the only thing I can think of that would cause them to not give you membership. Oh, that and being racist against the targeted CGSM target groups. Hahahaha
