Just received news that I was admitted to Yale's MPH program as part of their Accelerated MPH/MBA in Health Care Management. However, that was contingent on being admitted into the MBA program, which was a ding! So, it's like a winning a spring training game...means nothing.

Wouldn't have mattered as I am very excited to be joining Tepper.

Ahhh, that sucks! I'm sorry to hear that. But, it sounds like it worked out either way! Tepper is an awesome choice.

:( I know it's presumptuous on my part - but i really can't believe I didn't get into NYU. It's my number 1 school, their program aligns EXACTLY with what I want to do, my interview went really well and they accept 70% of ppl interviewed. If there's anything that tells me this whole process is so unpredictable - it's this!! I was more concerned about getting an interview - but once I did, i thought it would be straightforward.....haha, part of me wants to call and be like - did you lose my application or something? I think Insead was the only other school I got as invested in - and at least they told me I needed to get my GMAT score up to move on...so I knew why.

two more weeks till the end of the month and everyone has to start thinking about deposits.

i'm just talking about admit - they didn't call - just sent an email update about change in status i think it was Monday or last week. and the notification deadline is monday. I interviewed with a big group and all the folks i know accepted from there got the notification on the same day. So not being randomly superpessimistic but realistically looks like WL to me.

I don't think it's presumptuous. This process is definitely an eye-opener, but once you have success with other schools it is hard to understand why the ones you really love and put your heart into don't feel the same. For me, it was Haas. I actually didn't expect to get in, but I expected to get an interview or waitlisted or something other than a straight out rejection. But the more I think about it, Haas would have been the really safe choice for me, while Kellogg is a better fit and I think will be a better experience for me.

I am the same exact way with Michigan. They were my number 1 and everything was a perfect fit. Felt like I killed my interview, the guy and I were in the same fraternity, from the same industry, had the same connections, were doing career changes into the same field, and I did not get in.

buuutttttt that being said. I think because I aligned perfectly with Michigan and their student body, that is a reason I didnt get it. I was competing against the field and didnt have a niche. The fact that I want to go into tech and there are significantly less people doing that at NYU probably helped.
