AIM President and Dean Dr. Jikyeong Kang recently made whirlwind visits to meet with alumni in Shanghai, Taipei, and Seoul. Local alumni chapter leaders promptly mobilized the AIM alumni network to make sure Jikyeong met as many alumni as possible. The visits allowed her to share with them the many positive changes happening at the Institute. She also underscored the importance of alumni participation in the Institute’s drive toward the attainment of its goals, especially as AIM prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2018.

The RVR Center recently held its first Stakeholder Consultation in Manila as part of the “Small Business Advocacy to Reduce the Space of Corruption”. The stakeholder consultation aimed to strengthen the role of SMEs as a constructive advocate for reform and to build consensus on an anti-corruption agenda among SMEs. The consultation in Manila gathered 16 stakeholders from the private sector, SME associations, and the academe to prioritize key corruption issues that this advocacy should focus on and to identify possible recommendations to address those issues.

A group of MBM ‘79ers braved the challenging Christmas traffic to get together for a very merry Christmas reunion last 16 December 2016. The intrepid and fun-loving band of Al Mayoralgo, John Rana, Gerry Castro, Bingle Diago, Harry Abrillo, and Philip Chung gathered at the Tycoon Lounge of the AIM Conference Center Manila and had a grand time catching up over bottles of Yamazaki and Macallan, gastronomically paired with generous servings of the Tycoon Lounge’s famous “crispy pata”.
