I'm having a hard time staying in love with Haas when I did Berkeley undergrad and Wharton West is so close by with a more rigorous Executive MBA curriculum and a better name. I've audited some haas classes because of people I know there, and Wharton students just seem far more committed. Anyone with experience to the contrary? Or thoughts as to what I'm overlooking here?
Not quite sure what you mean by "far more committed".

Also hard to compare Executive MBA program with FTMBA program. You'll have to compare the Wharton West with the Berkeley-Columbia Executive programs to really have an apples to apples comparison.
The FT program is not just about curriculum and academics. It is equal parts academics, leadership/experiential learning, and getting to know your classmates well.
Berkeley undergrad (even Haas) is VERY different from the MBA program, as any Berkeley undergrad will tell you (including myself - EE major - and my classmates who were Haas undergrads).
With that said, it's truly up to you on what you want to get out of an MBA program. If you are there purely for the curriculum and academics, then an Executive MBA or a part time MBA may be better for you. If you want the full experience of academics, hands on experience, and build a network of very close friends in the future (plus an internship in the middle), then FTMBA is for you.
BTW, the Executive MBA programs do require more work experience, usually upwards of 10 or more years (on average).
Hope that helps!
