I like Pook's explanation (option 2) better. I still remember this waiting game that we have to play and how the speculations and conspiracy theories ran wild back then. Just remember, getting stressed over it will not help you one way or the other, so just relax (as much as you're able to) and the news will come. (I know, easy for me to say, haha)

Need quick advice before submitting. I found out with 1 week to spare that my first choice recommender, a former supervisor, has been in the hospital (I don't see him everyday anymore). I was forced to scramble for a new recommender and chose a business partner. How much should I explain in supplemental question #1? I'm set on applying for Rd 2.

Hey gents, Just wanted to through my lot in with everyone as a Round 1 applicant for Haas. App completion notice received ~2weeks ago. It's going to be a christmas to remember (either way...)

Agree with GoBruins. From my experience, Haas Admissions office is very helpful/accomodating and don't hesitate to give them a call either.

I went to the Haas Information session yesterday, and did ask the Adcom about this. They replied that they are still shifting through all the applicants and it might take some more time before they are finished. She even said that she and her colleague were carrying some of the applications with them during these World tours and reviewing them ,albeit at a slower pace than if they were back in Haas. The Super Sat interviews are slowly been trickled out, while the interviews invites for the international applicants would start in the next few weeks. So hang in there everyone, and don't get stressed.
