No need to panic everyone. LOTS of interviews to still be sent out.

Admissions office closes 12/23 I believe, BUT interviews can still go out while the office is closed. I got mine 12/28 2 years ago.

I know how hard it is to wait for that interview, trust me, I still remember the stress and agony vividly. But to save your sanity, I highly recommend trying to relax and just not worry about it until the decision deadline date in late January.

I know no one will listen to me, but at least I had to try!

nope, just promoting the school to the "new generation" that uses Twitter, Facebook, etc... Our dean also sends updates on twitter here and there.

Last year Berkeley got over 4000 apps, sending the admit rate to a record low of 11%. I doubt they are "hurting" for applicants. :wink:

yes, there will definitely be more invitations. I'm a re-applicant 9Interenational) from last year and remember invitations came out till Jan. I didn't receive an invite and thought it was a ding, and, on decision date, I was placed on the waitlist and offered an interview later.

Per email, "We have been extending interview invitations to Round 1 applicants, and we will continue to send out Round 1 interview invitations on a rolling basis through most of January. Since we review applications within each round in random order, there is no significance to the date on which you may receive an interview invitation. Most Round 1 applicants from the United States will be invited to interview on campus during our "Super Saturday" event on January 16th."

So interview invites will go out throughout January, but most will happen in time for Super Saturday on January 6th. Is it me, or does that not quite add up? I would think you would at least get a few days notice for SS, so interviews should be done by the 10th/12th to make travel arrangements for Super Saturday?
