honestly I had already lost hope, it was certainly a surprise!

I have a choice of on campus/off campus. On campus spots are already filled past the due date, but I still have that option, but this would result in a delay in their final verdict. Looks like I would have to interview this week if I wanted to hear back by the deadline

congrats hankpank. I would probably take the off campus to find out on the deadline date.

kyrzak.....I am a R1 applicant from the Bay. Do you think there is still hope for those waiting for invites ?
I know this question has been asked several times over, but I would really appreciate any insights you may have on the admission/interview process.....also is it a good idea to contact the AdCom regarding an update on my app.

hi testgmattest55,

I know you and everyone else who haven't received invites yet are very anxious (trust me, I still vividly remember that feeling), but as I am not on the admissions committee, I do not have any more insights to give you than what's been said here already. Anyone that tells you differently is probably just stirring the pot (like on the BW forums).

Historically, invites have gone out all the way up to a few days beforehand, but each person and each case is different, so it's nearly impossible to generalize.

All one can do is to see if they get invites until the decision deadline, and then find out if they're rejected or waitlisted.

Sorry I couldn't help more...

generally, there is no reason to be too fixated on what the application status says. As long as it is RECEIVED or some iteration of that, you are fine. Sometimes they update the status in batches or only after some unknown event happens. Speculating will only make the wait worse.

Calling the admissions office regarding the status is probably not very useful either, but in the small chance that there's an error, you can do it if it helps with the wait.

Hey Everyone,

With pleasure, I would like to introduce you all to Berkeley Haas' new VP of Admissions and Student Ambassador, LaurenAtHaas! She will be helping applicants with questions on this thread and the Haas Ambassador thread, and I have no doubt that she will do an amazing job helping you all out.

Don't worry, I'll still be around, but it's very nice to have an "official" student voice from the Berkeley admissions team here on GMATClub and on this thread.

Lauren will make a self-intro here soon, so stay tuned!

Cheers,
Kryzak

just got an email saying it's ready for review, they will request an official transcript if you get invited for interview. I think with the holidays, we are just crossing the 4 week mark, so I wouldn't worry too much about this. if you don't hear by next week then checking with the office doesn't hurt.

Anyone have any idea as to when R2 invites might start going out? I know adcom has stated no R2 invites until after R1 results, but I wonder if they have started reviewing R2 apps and will blast out invites shortly after the R1 decision date.

I am a R1 international applicant to Haas. I have not heard back from the AdCom yet about the interviews or been dinged. Is it too late to be expecting a R1 interview invite.

Does anyone know the process if you are waitlisted with no interview (R1)? (i.e at that time are all those candidates interviewd?)

Yes. If you are waitlisted, you will be interviewed. I'm a R1 re-applicant from last year who was waitlisted and then offered an interview.
