when should one be worried about not getting an interview invite for R2 applicants? I live in CA so I would not be invited to Super Saturday.

There were R1 applicants who got interview invites less than a week before the announcement deadline. Could be anytime, but then again worrying won't really accomplish anything.

Thanks emont - really appreciate the input.
Just about to submit - reading and fidgeting with formatting on the stupid berk form - it auto colors some parts of my essays white and the rest clear - so maybe my praise for the form was undeserved.

In for round three, and officially done filling out applications. Now, we wait. So far, two dings, one wait list, and an interview at Kellogg. No word at all from another five schools. Sleep.

If the application + 1 recommendation is submitted will the app be considered for R3? I have one recommendation pending and I doubt it's coming in the next 5 minutes (R3 deadline!).

Appreciate any inputs because I didn't find any direct answer on their FAQ/App instructions.

From the Haas FAQ page:

Is it acceptable if my recommender submits the letter of recommendation after the deadline date?

As long as you have submitted your application and paid the application fee by the deadline, it is acceptable for your recommender to submit the letter of recommendation a few days after the deadline date. Please keep in mind that without two letters of recommendation, you application will be considered incomplete and cannot be reviewed until both letters have been received.

Thanks Indya! I just happened to read this FAQ as well. I had previously read the FAQ from the apply page and that didn't seem to have this info. Kind of reassuring for now! :)

Thanks man!

This was the most frustrating application, by far. Did anyone else try to paste the contents of a Word file only to find that the application system had saved all the sentences in the reverse order? Bizarre.

Fingers crossed for R3.

Yes...this was really, really strange. I applied R2 (still waiting/under review), and I saw this glitch. I'm guessing it probably happened in R1 too...maybe people talked about it, but I didn't follow the thread as closely then. It was really weird because it preserved overall paragraph structure perfectly, but somehow reversed the sentences inside the paragraph. Conceptually, I have no idea how that was happening. I consider myself someone fairly tech savvy, but this was, like you said, bizarre. Oh well...at least it's over! Good luck!
