Hi all, looking for a question with a brutally honest answer. Around how many applicants are accepted during Round 4? Is there basically no chance of getting in or is it comparable to other rounds?

I don't know the % but I can say unequivocally that it's not comparable to other rounds. I don't know any school whose R4 is comparable.

Good point. But I guess what I'm saying is, is it worth it to spend the $200 or do only around 5% (just a random number throwing out there) get in?

Haas describes their process for reviewing applications in this way: "Over the next month, we will print out your online application, match it with your transcripts and other supplemental materials, and create a physical application file. We will then send you an e-mail to notify you that your application is either complete or incomplete; if your application is incomplete, we will indicate what is missing."

Has anybody received this complete / incomplete email? Those who received interview invites, was there any other communication from Haas (or online status update) before the interview invite?

Yes. Shortly after applying, I received an email basically saying that they had everything they needed and then the online status turned to Application Under Review (where it has remained for about 6.5 weeks now). The email began by saying,

"Thank you for submitting your application for admission to the Berkeley MBA Program at the Haas School of Business. Your file is now ready for review by the admissions committee.

While we currently have sufficient documentation to review your application, please note that if you are invited to interview, you will be required to immediately submit official academic records issued by the school."

I remember reading here that some people were missing certain pieces, and the committee did email them to ask them for those elements.

Yes I received an email saying that my file was complete and they were starting to review it. That was back on Jan 4 (I'm R2 applicant), since then nothing happened.... status is still 'under review'

Thanks K8, kelea and nifoui for that information. My status still says "Received", and I haven't received any email since the deadline day email which acknowledged my application had been submitted.

Decision date is March 3rd, so I'm pretty sure no later than that. BUT...I believe you still can be waitlisted without interview on decision date, as we've seen with a number of R1ers (check out the first page for stats)...so, I guess it's not 100% over until May 26th, the R4 decision date. By that date, I would assume they have the Class of 2013 all set.

I am a round 2 applicant, and received an email from Haas on 12/16 indicating that my application was complete. I have not heard anything since. I am a full time applicant from Northern California.

Just received an email saying they've received the required information and my application is ready for review. Online status now says "application under review"

Submitted: 1/19
Under review: 1/26

Anyone else have a similar timeline? I suspect I won't hear anything for a month or so now?
