You're 19 days late, but still I sit and wait, oh

Waiting and waiting

Still waiting...

But looking at the other entries, I have a feeling that I still have significant more waiting to do... Or the other option is that all of us "still waiting" folks have been dinged but CBS hasn't bothered to reply back...

Finger crossed for the first option!

Hey all! What is the turnaround time between interview and decision generally? A week or two?

i had my interview on 1/14, went interview complete on 1/18, and i still don't have a decision. i asked a contact at the school for more info and was told that my app hadn't yet been given a final review. clearly, there isn't any firm turnaround time.

can be 1-4 weeks. Not a good answer, I know. I, for instance, found out 3 days after my interview and I know of people who found out 2-3 weeks after theirs. Depends on several factors - when your app goes to complete status, who interviewed you (alum vs adcom), etc etc etc.

Oh that's disheartening. I was hoping CBS would give me a concrete answer sooner than the others, but looks like I'm stuck on the slow train to MBA town.

I realize it doesn't help. What's good, however, is that your application to CBS is done. So best thing to do now is to focus on other apps.

It really depends! What is known is that you should get a final decision 12 weeks after you first submitted your application (thats worst case scenario aka longest wait time). I got my decision a week after I went interview complete. But, CBS clearly states on its website that once you go complete, your application may either go straight to committee or get reviewed yet again by another adcom person before going to committee. So, its hard to tell.

Wishing you the best of luck though :) Keep us posted!

It seems like CBS has generally slowed down at getting back to its applicants...don't lose faith! As several people on here said before, it ain't over til its over!! And as SaMoCu said, its a good opportunity to focus your efforts on other things (whether it be apps, work, re-socializing with friends, taking on a new hobby, etc) as hard as it is.

Haha I have no shortage of things to occupy me (trust me), but I tend to neglect them and come to the blogosphere.

Dude, there's no shortage of ways to pre-occupy your time. Once you get in somewhere, you'll spend your time trying to figure out how to waste it away before you start school, and how much you can get away with at work without getting fired. It's felt like purgatory since I got in to CBS - can't apply for loans yet, can't find housing yet, can't pick my courses yet, etc.

my interview was 1/17, went complete on 1/28, and it's been 2.5 weeks now without a decision. i saw another post where the applicant waited 3 weeks and was dinged. i really hope that the long wait does not = increased chances of getting dinged...

They are probably just being slow to better compare applicants. At least that is my guess. Why jump the gun either for better or worse until you know the total playing field.

length of time isn't necessarily indicative of whether you're in or not. You could be an applicant on the fence and someone they're unsure of. You could also be a strong applicant, and they just haven't been able to review your file yet and/or your interviewer may have submitted a little long after the interview and/or his answers may have been incomplete.
Don't read too much into it.

15th week?! Wow.

I know that with a ~14% acceptance rate they have most of the power, but for a place that cares so much about yield, you'd think they would try to keep applicants a bit less frustrated.
