Same boat here. Interview on 1/16, Application status changed to interview complete on 1/20. Still havent heard anything. Also, I am into my 15th week since my initial application was submitted. Purgatory!!!

15 weeks? Wow, that's really rough. Have you considered getting in touch with the AdCom, either by phone or email? Or is that not advised?

If you haven't heard since the 20th (3 weeks ago), you may want to reach out (if you haven't done so already). You may get a generic answer, but it may help.

i called them the day after my interview. Just be courteous. Just say "hey, my app went complete 4 months. Just wanted to check in and see if you needed any additional data, and if not when I could expect to hear back".

Submitted my app yesterday and got status change to "Your application is now being printed and prepared for review." I guess based on everyone's posts and wait time I should prepare myself for a long wait.

I would definitely call or email. It cannot hurt, and you never know...it may bump your app up in the decision pile. 15 weeks seems like quite an outlier. I know how you feel, I had to wait somewhere around 3 weeks for a decision after my interview went complete. I remember refreshing my email 1,000 times a day!

I need some advice about a potential late Columbia app.

I have applied to nine other top tier schools, and after completing all those applications I couldn't bear to look at another application, so Columbia didn't get done in January like all the others.

My question is... would applying to Columbia now be akin to applying in Round 3 to another school? I mean, do you think my chances of getting in would be drastically reduced? Also, if I did get in, would the matriculation date be too late for me to consider CBS if I in fact get in?

If your app is already done, then send it in. If not, it may be too late, but you'll never know unless you apply. Listen, if CBS is one of your top choices, then it should have been sent in earlier. Sending it now may make you come across as being unprepared and/or uncertain of whether CBS is a good fit for you. Additionally, they may have most of the class already picked (keep in mind they have an exceptionally high yield rate).

So if it's done, send it in. If not, you can still complete it and send it in, but have low expectations.

Good advice. I would say CBS is a top pick, and I had an application that was 75% complete so I will have to assess how quickly I could get it submitted if I in fact decide to. CBS is a great school, it's just that the rolling admissions didn't really mesh with my application strategy of focusing on each application before each deadline, so it sort of fell by the wayside, and by the time I was done all applications, I was pretty burnt out from the whole process.

Wow congratz!!~ I wonder if it was because you had submitted your app before say noon EST (i.e., early in the day on 1/5)... I'm assuming most people (like myself) submitted their apps around 5pm EST.
