I am hoping to get something soon. My application went under review 1/26. No word yet.

oops. I thought i went under review on the 21st but while i was cleaning out my email today i realize i didn't go under review until the 26th. I submitted at 1/5 pst but 1/6 est. I guess there is still hope!
Your chances would be much improved if you wait until next year. Early decision begins in May so you can apply for class of 2014 in just a few short months.
I skimmed through the tail end of last year's thread and have since concluded that there are VERY few interview invites left to come. Not anticipating a wave.

So I went through last year's thread from March 2010+ for clarification. Why? I don't know - this process is making me crazy. Anyway, I counted 7 admits in March (most originally applied in December and very early January) and 1 admit in early April. Several were waitlisted in early May and there were a few admits in late July.
Based on this - I think we might see several admits over the next few weeks. For people like me that submitted later in January - it doesn't look great.
With only a handful interview invites a while back and the recent 1 or 2 dings/day, I've been under the impression this whole time that there would be a wave of interview invites coming any day now. However, as each day passes, I'm starting to think that this wave is not really coming. I know the common phrase on here 'it's not over til it's over' but I'm trying to grasp if this is the calm before the storm (a good storm of invites) or just a matter of waiting til we each get our dings (and maybe a small number of interview invites). I realize that any responses would be purely speculation, but anyone else have any thoughts?

Just ran some numbers based on last year's RD invites. The thread reported that 41 out of 118 RD applicants were interviewed which comes to about 35%. Currently, out of this year's RD applicants, 24 out of 90 (~27%) have received invites so far (according to the spreadsheet). So, I tend to agree with you now LaChloe about the lack of a "wave", but still holding out some hope that a few more will come trickling out sometime soon...
Is it too late to apply to CBS and have any shot at getting in?
How about J-term? Does any know if that's a good option for folks considering applying now? I know for me, getting to start in January would be preferable until waiting almost a year and half to start. I decided to apply to business schools last April and I'm dying to start school in the fall

I wouldn't apply J-term just because you want to start sooner. I would apply because the program is right for you. J-termers miss out on all the fall recruiting events (which could completely eliminate you for many positions), and miss out on a summer internship. Unless you fit the profile of someone who wants to go J-term, ie you have your post-MBA career planned out, I would think long and hard about applying J-term just to start a few months sooner.
Just wanted to share my stats with you guys as this thread has been extremely helpful for me over the past few months. Good luck to all of you
Submitted: 12/10 Under review: 12/15 Interview Invite: 1/21 Interview: 1/28 Interview Complete: 1/31 Accepted: 2/13 (not a bad valentine's day present - and yes, on a Sunday at 5pm)
I submitted on 12/15 and didn't go under review until 1/6. On 2/12 I was placed on the waitlist without being interviewed. I am not expecting to get in, but i find it pretty weird that they waitlisted me before interviewing me.
How many people are there out there who submitted around 1/5 and still haven't heard anything? Sorry to those getting dinged, it seems like they must have narrowed down the pool quite a bit in the past week.

Still holding on here.
Same, but losing my grip

submitted 1/5, UR on 1/21, haven't heard a thing. I am hopeful, I can't imagine they would've filled up most of their class in just the fall.
I applied on 1/5, it went under review Jan 25th and Got my "F*$% OFF" e-mail today =) I got invites for both MIT and HBS though and CBS was my 5th choice, so I'm glad it made space for the rest of you! Best of luck to you all! Thanks for all the support!
This wait is killing me...I submitted 1/5, went under review 1/21 and month and half later...still no news. I don't know at what point will stop checking the application page every hour.
Lots of people in the same boat (1/5 :: 1/21)...waiting sucks. The rolling admissions cycle is very frustrating, but they did say 8-12 weeks after it goes under review and we're only at the 6 week mark right now. I know we all want to find out as soon as possible, but I think we need to chill out a bit and let things play out.
