I'm surprised my boss hasn't caught on and blocked the Cornell and Tuck websites... I've wasted so much time checking my status for the past two months. No carpal tunnel yet, just a giant ulcer and a bad temper.

This next week or so is going to drag so painfully. I want it to end...

It's funny because this stress is nothing compared to what we'll be going through this time next year if all goes well =]

For all of us waiting for a decision from Cornell...I hope you're somewhere warm and sunny when you find out their decision. Here's the weather for the week in Ithaca:

Today: Rain before noon, then a chance of snow showers between noon and 3pm, then a chance of snow showers and sleet after 3pm. Temperature falling to around 27 by 5pm. South wind 8 to 11 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. North wind between 6 and 8 mph.

Do they call only those folks who recieve scholarships or even those who get an admit without schols? If the latter be the case, they are more likely to call up on 16th as the results are due 17th 8am (I am sure Unvi folks don't work before that )...

any ideas ??

Good point. I didnt even think of that. Unless they send out a scheduled email blast for all decisions on the 17th, we have to find out earlier.....it only makes sense!

I agree that if they're doing phone calls they'll probably start on Monday or Tuesday. I don't know if getting a scholarship would tie to this or not convolutedsignal.

But, there's also the possibility that after last year's mess things will be very rigidly structured this year with everything being updated on the 17th at once and no "leaked" info going out before.

Luckily, it's less than a week away now so all the mad speculation will soon come to an end.

If you look at the thread from last year they just had problems on decision day with multiple emails being sent out, status being changed back and forth etc. It sounded like a nightmare for students waiting... I believe that they should have it straightened out this year.

That said, there is definitely a possibility of getting some info early via phone based on what the Adcom is saying over at BW but I wouldn't hold my breath for anything on the website until 8AM on the 17th.

Mine still said "interview scheduled" a whole 5-6 weeks after my interview.....dont worry, be happy.

Just to feed the frenzy a bit further, (and bump the thread for raabend

) I've received e-mails from Johnson admissions officers as late as 11:30pm EST. So who know how early/late they really work. Last year some decisions were communicated as late as 10pm on notification day.
