I know I should look this up online, but I'm just going to post it. Does Cornell allow for telephone interviews within the U.S, or do you have to come to campus. It is a hike to make it to Ithica. Thanks.

even though I got that email too I didn't notice the LA event was at the Standard until you posted it. That's pretty cool actually. Just hanging out drinking with current students at the Standard. IF (big if) I get in, I'll definitely go to that.

I'm considering going there just to hang out and find out more, if the weather is decent that night :)

Sounds good. It's mid-December in LA. How can the weather not be good ;)

Quick question guys. Is everyone who is ding-ed for first round going to find out on Dec 17th, or is it done on a rolling basis?

Any help appreciated.

Everyone gets the notification on Dec 17. The admits might start getting calls a day earlier.

They will do alumni interviews in various locations -- I'm not sure about phone ones but I'd assume that's an option as well. However, the impression that I got during my campus visit was that they look favorably on interviewees who make the hike. Other schools don't seem to emphasize the campus interview nearly as much.

did anyone get the mail bout the interactive view book?

weird , the system does not consider me as an applicant but a prospective applicant... once i'm thru all these batch jobs are definitely going to be rewritten!!! adcoms should realise what mails from "Johnson School Admissions" and likes does for our weak hearts!

the mail also said "If you have not yet applied for admission, our application is online here. We hope you enjoy our new interactive view book and we look forward to hearing from you soon."

hope they arn't indirectly talking bout 2009 re-app season for me!!! :shock:

so being international .. do i have to stay up whole night waiting to hear the golden words or will they bother calling up again?
and BW now says 17th Dec 9 am EST.hope they don't keep pushing it by the hour as d day approaches!

sentiment probably they like u a lot. making sure that u ll accept their offer. I am guessing that the adcom member amswering questions on BW were confused abt the time.

Who thinks they will start calling on Monday?

I know they say decisions rendered Wed morning. But i have to believe they want to call all accepted applicants. And I don't think they would do that only on Tuesday.

I bet they start calling people Monday.

I love wishfull thinking.

Just when I was about to give up all hope, I received in my email a R1 interview invitation - on a Friday afternoon before the week of notification. Am I cutting it close or what?

My last name is last one in the alphabets and I'm a reapplicant, so that might explain the timing. Anyway, I scheduled the interview for next Monday. For R2 applicants, there will be no activity from 24th to the 3rd; the admission staff will be on vacation on those days.

My app status is still 'Interview Scehduled' (although my interview was on 22 Nov) - should I worry ? Any suggestions ?
